Genre: Science-Fiction / Comedy
Is it time to review another genre comedy already? Well, aren’t I just the luckiest. For those unaware, this film is the third in what has been dubbed as the “Blood and Ice Cream Trilogy”. The “Trilogy”, made up of this film, “Hot Fuzz” and “Shaun of the Dead”, share just about everything ASIDE from an actual shared universe.
So, after taking a look at some violent, stylized, fun-fests, I think it’s time for me to get back on track again and review some good-old-fashion Oscar bait.
With that said, let’s talk about The Butler.
It should be good to talk about a film with no violence or swearing in it….right?
Please note: This movie is rated R. Unless you are particularly loose in what you allow children to watch, I highly advise not taking them to see this movie.

Well, this was very different. Others who are aware of this movie probably know where I’m coming from when I say that this movie will inevitably fall into the “underground critical darling” genre for this year. Indeed, I foresee many a fellow critic lavishing praise and awards upon Fruitvale Station, beyond those which it has already received.
Does it deserve the adulation? Well, considering that my opinion is the end all be all of every film ever, and should by taken by you all as absolute truth, you’re just going to have to take my word on whether it does or doesn’t.
